B.Des Interior Design

Duration: 4 years – Eligibility: +2 / Equivalent

We offer a four year B.Des Interior Design programme following international standard design education benchmark of art & design. The benchmark definitions are articulated in each of the modules outcomes. This provides a clear structure for the organization, delivery and assessment of the programmes, while maintaining the individuality of each award and its related outcome. The programme is designed for students who want to pursue a career in the creative industries.

COURSE OVERVIEW & STRUCTURE

The programme encourages students to develop their design potential, problem-solving skills and develop creative thinking ability. The programme will facilitate students to acquire skills required to develop their own individual style and visual language through the creation of a portfolio of work. Design Study students will experience a wide variety of learning opportunities throughout the study for their degree

ACCREDITATION

We offer a four year exclusive Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program approved by an Alagappa University* recognised by UGC.

In addition, we are collaboration with a Birmingham City University to enable students with cutting edge education content, methods and learning thereby equipping our students with skills that are amongst the best world wide. UK universities are generally renowned worldwide for quality education and are highly reputed worldwide.

The foreign collaboration also adheres to the stringent norms of QAA, one of the highest norms in the world. This ensures that students are bound to get the best of training and learning.

What we teach here, apart from the technical skill sets, is a radical conceptual approach to design and test them through debate and through application in public space. You will learn to consider design practice in relation to the human conditions experienced in everyday life as well as in relation to social, political, landform, urban and virtual environments.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Applicants should be minimum of 16 years of age by 31 December in the year of entry with medium of instruction as English.

10 +2 or equivalent

It is mandatory to acquire English Language IELTS 6.0 qualification for students whose first language is not English.

“Accreditation of Prior Experiential learning” (APEL)

Mature students may possess considerable amounts of uncertified learning, which may have been derived from work base or other experiences. It is our intention to offer such students an opportunity to gain credit for this learning if that would be appropriate. Claim for APEL, should be made prior to the start of the programme.

Credit Transfer

Applicant can apply with credit transfer facilities as well. Applicants need to submit a portfolio to be considered for the same.
