The duration of SCID comprehensive Design Education programme is 4 years, with one year of Foundation studies in Art & Design followed by 3 years in the student’s specialized field of study. Students learn through hands-on experiential learning in a studio environment alongside top faculty, with the mentorship of practising design experts, educationists and more from India and around the world.
A Pass result in 10+2, or 10+3 (Diploma) or A-level or equivalent qualification with English as a Medium of instruction. In case the medium of instruction was another language, then an IELTS 6.0 score will be accepted to demonstrate the candidate’s
English language proficiency.
Yes, candidates who have written Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects are also eligible to apply to Creative College of Design.

Note : The Stage 1 Written Test and Stage 2 Portfolio Review + Personal Interview of the SCIDT will be conducted on the same day in the forenoon and afternoon sessions respectively. ( For Exam Dates please refer SCID Application Form)
Yes, candidates can apply on a provisional basis and go through the admission process. However their enrolment will be confirmed only after verification of original mark sheets.
Students who have written UCEED, NATA, NIFT or NID exams can submit their score card while applying for admission to SCID. On scrutiny of their application, they may be exempt from writing the Stage 1 exam and will be intimated accordingly, but the Stage 2 Portfolio Review and Personal Interview is compulsory for all.
Yes, we do have credit transfer facilities. But we will have to review your application, academic records, portfolio and experience to determine if you are eligible for the same.
We do have the APEL system in place i.e Accreditation of Prior Experiential learning. At CID we understand that mature students may possess considerable amounts of uncertified learning, which may have been derived from their work or other experiences. It is our intention to offer such students an opportunity to gain credit for this learning if their application, aptitude and demonstration of skills and abilities are deemed appropriate. However once an APEL claim is substantiated, the candidate will have to appear for both Stage 1 and 2 of the entrance process to gain admission.

You can also request for an application form by sending us an email directly. Apart from this, Students can visit our campus and fill out a form.
If you choose to attend the entrance test on MAY 11, 2019, the last date for receiving applications is MAY 07, 2019.
If you want to attend the entrance test on MAY 31, 2019 the last date is MAY 28, 2019.

As of now, Candidates need to write the exam at our Creative College of Design campus in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. However centres in other cities can be arranged if there are a large number of candidates from a single location, according to our internal terms & conditions and would be intimated to candidates by their registered mail id.
