To nurture designers with real maturity and insight, we believe students must choose minimalism over excess. A deep connection with nature is essential, because all art, at its core, is a reflection of nature. True knowledge transfer happens when students immerse themselves in real experiences, not just textbook theories. Growth, we believe, lives on the other side of comfort.
Collectivism is our mantra. We believe in the power of human networks and community. Through collective consciousness, even the impossible becomes achievable. Every detail at SCID reflects this philosophy. Our wide corridors, whitewashed walls, and flourishing greenery have all been designed with intention. From the placement of trees and shrubs to the layout of the interiors, everything is built to spark curiosity and wonder.
We also believe it is essential to cultivate an organic way of thinking. Originality springs from raw, authentic ideas, not from imitation. Only when students learn to think naturally can they design solutions that are sustainable and in harmony with the environment.
Inclusivity is the energy that emerges when people are in harmony with those around them. It builds empathy, which is the foundation for human-centered design. Only by embracing diversity and complexity can one create truly universal solutions.
