The Time is Fertile to Create

Welcome to the Abode of Green, Inclusive, Quality-Conscious Academic Excellence A School of Thought for Innovators, Visionaries, and Changemakers

At the Sasi Creative Institute of Design, we are firmly rooted in the principles of originality, innovation, and individuality. These are the traits that distinguish a true leader from the crowd. Innovation, by nature, drives progress. It leads to transformative ideas, groundbreaking products, and new-age services that redefine markets and societies.
Our mission at SCID is to nurture visionary thinkers and future leaders who challenge existing norms and embrace constant evolution. Just as the universe itself thrives on change, we believe in producing changemakers and modernizers who will shape a better, more meaningful tomorrow.

What do we stand for? What is our vision for India and the world?

Our aim is to foster a Collective, Organic, Sustainable, Minimalistic, Inclusive society — COSMIC.

To nurture designers with real maturity and insight, we believe students must choose minimalism over excess. A deep connection with nature is essential, because all art, at its core, is a reflection of nature. True knowledge transfer happens when students immerse themselves in real experiences, not just textbook theories. Growth, we believe, lives on the other side of comfort.

Collectivism is our mantra. We believe in the power of human networks and community. Through collective consciousness, even the impossible becomes achievable. Every detail at SCID reflects this philosophy. Our wide corridors, whitewashed walls, and flourishing greenery have all been designed with intention. From the placement of trees and shrubs to the layout of the interiors, everything is built to spark curiosity and wonder.

We also believe it is essential to cultivate an organic way of thinking. Originality springs from raw, authentic ideas, not from imitation. Only when students learn to think naturally can they design solutions that are sustainable and in harmony with the environment.

Inclusivity is the energy that emerges when people are in harmony with those around them. It builds empathy, which is the foundation for human-centered design. Only by embracing diversity and complexity can one create truly universal solutions.

As William James once said, “We are like islands in the sea, separate on the surface but connected in the deep.”
And as Brene Brown beautifully described, “Connection is the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued.”

These powerful insights resonate deeply with our vision. At SCID, we strive to create an environment where such connection is not just possible, but inevitable.

The Creative College Campus

The campus at Creative Institute of Design is thoughtfully designed to spark and nurture creativity. Unlike traditional campuses with uniform corridors and enclosed rooms, every space here is crafted around human behavior and interaction. The environment is immersive, built to subtly inspire creativity through carefully curated spatial experiences.

As you move through the campus, you encounter numerous intentional touch points designed to activate creative thinking at a subconscious level. These include specialized model rooms, whiteboard zones we call “walls of thought,” transparent surfaces that invite openness and dissolve mental barriers, open courtyards that promote social collaboration, and natural elements that soothe the senses while providing organic inspiration.

This design philosophy is not just conceptual but deeply practical. The campus itself is located in Myleripalayam, along the Coimbatore-Pollachi highway, just a short 30-minute drive from Coimbatore Railway Station. It is well connected by road, rail, and air, ensuring convenient access from all parts of the country.

At Creative Colleges, the campus is more than just a place to study, it is a living space for ideas, collaboration, and transformative learning.

CAMPUS LIFE

The physical environment at the Creative Institute of Design is carefully structured to stimulate young minds and encourage creative exploration. All classrooms are designed in a unique hexagonal shape, eliminating blind spots and fostering a sense of unity within the room. No student is left out. Each classroom features dedicated ‘Idea Walls’ that serve as expressive spaces where students can freely project their creative thoughts.

These thoughtfully designed learning environments are based on insights from educational psychology to help students grasp concepts efficiently and effectively within a limited time.

Teamwork is essential in any creative profession. At Creative Colleges, we place a strong emphasis on collaborative learning. This approach cultivates a low-stress atmosphere where knowledge is absorbed naturally and intuitively, encouraging deeper understanding and peer-based growth.

Beyond academics, we actively promote extracurricular activities and sports. The campus offers a variety of indoor and outdoor games, supporting overall student well-being. Informal learning zones are scattered across the campus, allowing students to engage in nature studies, sketching, and life-size installations in an open and inspiring setting.

The campus boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure including Digital Classrooms, Studios, Art Rooms, a Conference Room, Computer Lab, Workshop, Seminar Hall, Auditorium, Fashion Studio, Drafting Studio, Digital Lab, and Student Lounges. The fully-equipped library houses a wide collection of both national and international journals and publications.

Separate, full-fledged hostels for boys and girls offer all modern amenities, creating a comfortable and homely environment. For day scholars, the institution provides well-connected transportation services across various parts of the city.

Our campus is located in Myleripalayam on Pollachi Highway, just 18 kilometers from the heart of Coimbatore, offering a peaceful yet accessible setting for immersive learning.
