INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS

  1. Read the information and instructions carefully before filling the application form.
  2. Use a black/blue ballpoint pen to fill the application form.
  3. Fill up the application in BLOCK LETTERS.
  4. Put a “Tick” mark wherever applicable.
  5. Applications without Photo & Application Fee details will be rejected.
  6. After filling the application form, applicants can:
    1. Send the scanned document to admission@scid.ac.in.
    2. Send the completed applications via registered post to one of the addresses mentioned below:
      Address of Institution: Director (Admissions), Creative College of Design, 293/2B, Pollachi Main Road, NH-209, Myleripalayam, Coimbatore – 641 032.
  7. All information provided by you will be kept confidential.
  8. In keeping with the Sasi Creative Colleges philosophy of affirmative and inclusive education, we invite all applicants to provide any additional information regarding achievements, special considerations, or needs that should be taken into account for admission. Please attach documents of proof where necessary.
  9. Do send us the application form via registered post/email without fail.

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. The Application fee paid by the applicant is a non-refundable amount.
  2. This is an application for the course of your choice and NOT your enrolment into the same.
  3. Please mention the primary program and course you would like to apply to at the beginning of the form.
  4. To be considered for other courses offered by Creative College of Design, which is to be mentioned at the end of the form, the non-refundable application fee is ₹1275/- for each additional course. In the event of an applicant applying for more than one course, a consolidated Demand Draft (DD) can be obtained, and the same can be referenced in the form.
  5. Please provide a Demand Draft favouring “Swaminathan Rajalakshmi Educational Charitable Trust,” payable at Coimbatore, with your name and course(s) applied to clearly written on the reverse.

Our refund policy for seat blocking fees will be as follows:

  • Students who request a refund of their seat blocking fee within one month of blocking their seat will be eligible for a 50% refund of the total fee paid.
  • After the one-month period from seat blocking, the seat blocking fee becomes non-refundable, and no refunds will be issued for requests made thereafter.
  • To request a refund of your seat blocking fee, please submit a written request to the Office no later than one month from the date of seat blocking.
  • Your request should include your full name, student ID number, and the reason for requesting the refund.

PORTFOLIO REVIEW AND PERSONAL INTERVIEW DATES:

The Portfolio Review and Personal Interview will be conducted by members of Faculty, Academic Advisors, Educational Consultants, Counsellors, Management and Admissions Officers as present. This is simply to gauge the prospective student’s creative aptitude, passion, interest and mindset towards an academic career in Design, understanding their achievements, as well as to ensure that the prospective student’s personality, character and attitude are a right fit for the institution and the student community.
Portfolio can include any and all creative work done by the Student to demonstrate their aptitude, abilities, passion and interest. This can include sketches, drawings, paintings, photographs, craft work, digital work, short films, written pieces such as poetry, essays, stories and scripts and anything else they would like to present to the Board of Admissions for consideration.
The candidate is required to bring all supporting documents and certificates to verify details provided in the application.

ACCREDITATION

We offer a four year exclusive Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program approved by an Alagappa University recognised by UGC.
In addition, we are collaboration with a UK University to enable students with cutting edge education content, methods and learning thereby equipping our students with skills that are amongst the best world wide. UK universities are generally renowned worldwide for quality education and are highly reputed worldwide.
The foreign collaboration also adheres to the stringent norms of QAA, one of the highest norms in the world. This ensures that students are bound to get the best of training and learning.
What we teach here, apart from the technical skill sets, is a radical conceptual approach to design and test them through debate and through application in public space. You will learn to consider design practice in relation to the human conditions experienced in everyday life as well as in relation to social, political, landform, urban and virtual environments.

ELIGIBILITY

Those who are desirous of seeking admission to the undergraduate programmes offered at CCD should fulfill the following criteria.
Applicants should be minimum of 16 years of age by 31 December in the year of entry.
10 + 2, or 10 + 3 (Diploma) or A Level
A Pass in 10 + 2, or 10 + 3 (Diploma) or A Level or equivalent qualification with English as Medium of instruction. (IELTS 6.0) will be accepted as English language proficiency for those whose medium of education was in a language other than English in Higher Secondary. Candidates awaiting results can also apply.

“ACCREDITATION OF PRIOR EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING” (APEL):

Mature students may possess considerable amounts of uncertified learning, which may have been derived from work base or other experiences. It is our intention to offer such students an opportunity to gain credit for this learning if that would be appropriate. Claim for APEL, should be made prior to the start of the programme.

CREDIT TRANSFER:

Applicant can apply with credit transfer facilities as well. Applicants need to submit a portfolio to be considered for the same.

SCC Merit Scholarship

INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS

  • No applicant should file more than one application under any circumstances.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Applicant must have passed 12th with a minimum of 80% marks.
  2. Applicant must have a valid NATA score card.
  3. Applicant must have cleared the Personal Interview round.
  4. Applicant must have taken admission in Management Quota.
  5. Applicant agrees to finish the full course and graduate from the Institution.

RULES FOR MERIT SCHOLARSHIP RENEWEL

I understand that the college’s merit scholarship is subject to the following renewal rules:
  • Payment of Fees on Time: I agree to make timely payment of all tuition fees and related charges as per the college’s payment schedule. Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in the cancellation of the scholarship.
  • Academic Performance: I will maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 7 (specified GPA requirement) throughout the scholarship award period. I will not have any academic arrears or subject failures.
  • Discipline: I will abide by the college’s code of conduct and maintain a disciplined and respectful attitude towards fellow students, faculty, and staff.

NOTE

To renew the merit scholarship for each academic year, I understand that I must submit a scholarship renewal application, demonstrating continued academic excellence and adherence to the college’s rules and requirements.
