B.Des Transportation Design

B. Des transportation design at SCID is a 4 year program focused on the area of mobility and transportation. In the first year, students are taught the basic elements and principles of Design which serves as the foundation for the forthcoming 3 years of Design specialisation.
Post the foundation programme the students are introduced to the Process of Design Thinking, exposed to research methodologies, problem identification techniques, various concepts to innovate, exploration in industries’ latest materials & production technologies, costing tools and marketing principles. Every semester has a month long project course where the students can implement & exhibit their learning from the semester in their core fields.
Being located in the Industrial hub of the South, the students get enough Industrial exposure during their 4 year journey. In the final year, the students shall go through a 3 month Industry exposure program (Internship) as well as a 6 month intensive industry collaboration program (graduation project).
